| 内容記述 | The Home Novels began to be weitten at about 1900's. They were about the idealized home and conjugal life. Now, these works are ruled out from the Modern Japanese Literature history and aren't recognized as works of art because they were written for moral education and positioned as the popular novels. I want to broaden our horizons by reconsidering the Home Novels and criticize the authoritative power of culture and literature. So, I pick up Kikuchi Yuhou. In the 1900's, Kikuchi Yuhou was one of the most famous writers of the Home Novels. He was a journalist of the Osaka Mainichi Shinbun newspaper company and wrote many newspaper novels. In my paper, I focus my attention on Kikuchi Yuhou and the Osaka Mainichi Shinbun newspaper for which he and the other writers wrote the Home Novels. I deliberate about transition of the Home Novels with relation to the works of Koudan storytelling and the context of the education and social events in the 1900's. | |||||
