| 内容記述 | The Psychological Separation Inventory (Hoffman, 1984) was translated into Japanese, and several items inadequate for Japanese culture were revised. The Japanese version on the Psychological Separation Inventory (JPSI) was administered to 201 university students. 44 of the original items, three factors were extracted and named attitudinal independence, functional/emotional independence and conflictual independence. Validity of the JPSI was evaluated through its correlation with Yamamoto's scale of anxiety and Sakano & Tojo's scale of self-efficacy. Multiple regression analysis by means of these scales revealed that functional/emotional and conflictual independence from the mother led to a decrease in anxiety and increase in self-efficacy but functional/emotional independence from the father did not. The latter result suggested that emotional attachment to the father provided adolescents with security and self-reliance in late adolescence. | |||||
