This time KOIKE Mariko and AMEMIYA Machiko (both born in the 1950s) are made the target of analysis. There are many points which draw connections between the students and the library in Koike's work. People who do not understand how to use the services of the library come there to do research. In the works of both writers, the librarian who comes out to answer users' questions fails to appreciate their specialities. If the image of the library does not change, people will not be able to take advantage of new services.
