Scores (of 909 first year students of senior high school whose difficulties were due mainly to cerebral palsy) from subscales of WAIS and WISC-R were analyzed and profiles were constructed. The results show that there are discrepancies between the profiles of WAIS and the profiles of WISC-R. They could be explained by the difference in degree and types of difficulties among the samples as the tests using WISC-R were conducted more recently than the tests using WAIS. This reflects the fact that students in special schools have had more severe and complex difficulties in recent years.
