For example, it is said that young people have no manners these days. This kind of talk brings up such topics as the self-examination of young people, their ignorance, and so on. This Research Note tries to report on "the present situation of comments on the young people of today" from the viewpoint of college students. For this purpose, I requested college students to collect comments on the young people of today by conducting interviews, reading magazines, watching television and so on. After I had made a list of comments on the young people of today, I asked them to give their opinions and comments on the contents of this material. These comments can be classified into six large groups as follows: Group One is concerned with sweeping statements about the young people of today. Group Two is an analysis of negative-toned common talk about the young people of today. Group Three is an analysis of social change in Japanese society. Group Four is an analysis of inconsistency in comments on the young people of today. Group Five is about the chance of knowing the reality. The last group is about some requests for help made to adults, As a result, this trial urged young college students towards socialization.}, pages = {25--36}, title = {若者による「若者観」の受容 : 若者の社会化を促す試み}, year = {2006} }
