内容記述 | This paper investigates on the grammatical awareness by learners of English as a foreign language. Based on a grammaticality judgement test of the Let's construction, it is suggested that learners make apparently contradictory judgements even within the sentences of the same construction. Learners' written explanations on ungrammaticality also reveal that they employ structural and semantic criteria, which can occasionally co-exist in contradiction. It is also suggested that there is a "difficulty scale" among the sentences of the same construction, which implies an existence of an acquisition order shared by the learners. | |||||||
