| 内容記述 | According to a book titled "the biography of monk Taicho", Mt. Haku had become a mountain of belief in Kannon after a monk called Taicho climbed it in the early 8th century. Monk Taicho had probably been a worker of the sea in Echizen before that. His belief in Kannon spread through the network of the Japan Sea, and as for belief in Fudaraku of the sea, it is considered to be the first one to be accepted to the workers of the sea in Hokuriku area. It seems that this belief had also spread around Noto area, since there are still some old traditions about belief in Kannon of the sea left in the old Kannon temples in Noto. | |||||||
