| 内容記述 | 高齢者が長時間快適に座るために必要な車いすの機能を検討する目的で、車いす座位に問題のある特別養護老人ホーム入所者と30代女性を対象に、車いす着座中の座面および背もたれの圧力分布測定を行った。測定で得られたデータから、座面および背もたれそれぞれの平均圧力、最高圧力、高圧部面積、背もたれにおける接触面積の座面における接触面積に対する比率を算出し、また圧力分布についての検討を行った。高齢者では座面において坐骨と仙尾骨に高圧力部が観察され、背もたれにおいては接触面積が狭く、胸椎、肩甲骨、腰椎、骨盤のいずれかに限局して高圧力部が観察され、高齢者特有の円骨、骨盤後傾が圧力分布に大きく影響していることが分かった。 これらの結果から、高齢者の車いすを検討する際には、座面における圧力分布を均等すること、および背もたれの接触面積を広くして体幹をサポートすることに配慮する必要性が示唆された。 |

| 内容記述 | Objective: The purpose of this research was to determine which wheelchairs elderly persons could use comfortably for several hours. Methods: We measured the pressure distribution of the seat and backrest surface using an X-sensor pressure measurement system. First, we measured the pressure distribution for six nursing home residents with seating problems. Next we measured the pressure distribution in a 30-year-old woman. Main outcome measures: The average, maximal, and high pressure points in both seat and backrest surfaces and the raito of the contact area of the backrest to the seat were determined. Results: In the six elderly persons, the pressure on the ischium, sacrum, and coccyx was high. The contact area on the backrest was small, and we found high pressure points on one of the thoracic vertebrae, the shoulder blades, the lumbar vertebrae, and the pelvis. We also found that the pressure distribution was influenced by a kyphosis and a backward tilt of the pelvis, which are characteristic of elderly persons. Conclusion: It is suggested that it is necessary to equally distribute seating pressure and to enlarge the contact area on the backrest when we examine a wheelchair for elderly persons. |
