| 内容記述 | In this paper, I consider the historical meaning of the experience of reading the Japan Romantic School, starting with Hashikawa Bunzo's An Introduction to the Japan Romantic School. In this work, Hashikawa tried to consider the self-experience that received a dark influence from the Japan Romantic School, which extolled anti-modern thinking and the revival of Classical Japanese learning before and during World War II. He analyzed the doubts felt in the press in post-war days, which simply ignored the Japan Romantic School as ultra-nationalism. In this work, he criticized the texts of the Japan Romantic School and aimed to face the mental situation in which the Japan Romantic School failed. This paper highly evaluates the point made by Hashikawa when he considered that after the war it was thought problematical to read the Japan Romantic School. He criticized the intellectual climate of post-war days, which regarded nationalism as "ultra" in order to evade responsibility and not include the Japan Romantic School in the "Genealogy of Esthetic Patriotism". In this paper, the viability of the criticism of the romantic movement that Hashikawa presented is considered with reference to his discussion concerning nationalism and the discussion of Maruyama Masao and Takeuchi Yoshimi. | |||||||
